I LOVED Mamma Mia!

Dave took me to see Mamma Mia last night--which was WAY nice because Bill's review of the movie had something to do with "bathing in estrogen."

But Dave still took me.

And I'm telling you, I think we both loved it. LOVED it. Every actor is incredible and perfectly cast (Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson produced it--love them!). Meryl Streep is my new role model after seeing it (I have loved every movie I've seen of hers--literally every one.).

I know every theatre-going human on the planet (EXCEPT for me) probably knows the premise of Mamma Mia. But I really didn't even know it was a musical until I got there. And I think seeing a musical is kind of a hilarious thing in our day and age--seriously, it seems so "yesterday" to see people break into song. But, I loved it.

If you are looking for a feel-good movie, you have to add it to your list. My guess is it's not as "deep" as the Dark Knight, but completely worth your time and money.

Oh, and I never really liked Abba, but after this I'm buying the soundtrack to the movie. Actually buying a CD. Go figure!

BTW:

I loved seeing this with Dave, but as the movie credits were rolling, about 10 women got up and started dancing and singing with Meryle Streep. Our audience was LOVING it and stayed and clapped with them. They were having so much fun. It would be a totally fun movie to see with your chicas.

***Countdown's on for Breaking Dawn (Stephanie Meyer)!
