Got Privacy?

Part 1: Changing the Blog to Private--

A few Sundays ago, a neighbor was telling me that he didn't really "get" the whole blog idea. I was telling him that I used mine as a diary or scrapbook--not really intending other people to read it (outside of my family).

At the time, I thought having it public made total sense.

But this weekend, I've started feeling differently. I think being a university teacher gives a lot of people access to our family (remember my post about the "unibomber student"). And for some reason, it just seems odd to have people we don't know well, know us well.

At any rate, I'm sorry if I've offended anyone by taking the blog private. (I sent out invites to the family and most of our friends in order to give them access.)

I may change my feelings in the future, but for now, I'd just like to keep the blog private.

Much love, me.

Part 2: Going to a Friend's Campground!

This Saturday, some friends invited us to their grandpa's cabin about 20 miles from our home. Literally, our backyard! I was dyin'--who owns their own campground? By a stream?

It was a beautiful place. We had a lot of fun. I think we're starting to really appreciate the mountains this time around in Utah. Could the planet be any more beautiful?

The one major downside to the night: the host's toddler fell on top of some dutch ovens and was burned in like 3 or 4 places. Poor baby. Ugh! It was such a stress. She's okay now, but what a day--try to host your friends and do something nice (that's what they did), and your baby gets an owie! Ugh!

Here are the photos.
