What a weekend--and it's only Sunday morn!
Jonah just let me know that he's landed safely in Washington DC--at 6am our time. He left last night from Las Vegas at around 11:30pm (because he's under 14, he had to have a direct flight--no plane tranfers--and this was the "easiest" solution). Dave drove him to the LV airport, and now Grandpa Rory is picking him up for the drive to TN. That's a lot of travel for everyone, but thankfully, he'll be in TN for two weeks, so he can get his landlegs back. (Thanks to G-Pa and Dave--they are superheroes.)
While Dave and Jonah headed to Sin City yesterday (LOL!), the girls and did a lot!
We went on the Cecret Lake walk/hike that Dave took the kids on a few weeks ago. Who knew that the mountains were so amazing in August? (Okay, you all knew--but I did not.) Sincerely, I have never really been a mountain person, but I feel like the more time I spend here in Utah, the more I love it. And, the kids do, too. I'm so glad we went!
Oh, and the Moose Gods were smiling on us because we got to see a MOOSE (2, actually) within the first 5 minutes of the walk/hike! (This is really an inside joke because I would call this a hike, but I'm pretty sure Janae would call this a stroll!)
After the hike/walk we went to Costco (not so fun, but yummy) and came home and went swimming. We love the pool so much, it's hard to believe we won't be able to swim all year long. We're totally living at the pool until they board it up for the winter (no, they don't board it up, but they will shut it down, no?).
After the swim (with lots of friends--best part of Daybreak), we BBQ'd! YUM!
. . . oh, and hit Baskin Robbins to boot. YUM-O!
It was one fun day. I'd give it a 10--except J and Dave weren't with us. With J and Dave, it would have been a total 10 day.

You know what, maybe it really was a 10--because we're so fortunate to have friends that include us in their families while we are down 2 men.
Thanks, friends.
Bullwinkle's nephew.

Shiny coat, no? Think that hat is heavy?
Angels (and I don't mean Charlie's).
More angels.
The walk/hike.
(See Janae, I don't think you really bend your knees on a "walk"--or lean forward for that matter. Can we please call this a "hike"?)

(I know what you're thinking, this t-shirt is not exactly photo-friendly. I put these photos in not to show my fashion sense, but so the kids have evidence that their mother embarrassed them to no end during their childhood. And, to show myself that I'm a walking work in progress. What am I, Madonna? Borderline's playin' in the background. I have on my black stretchy
bracelets . . . Heaven help me.)
Camry's ice cream. And, of course she didn't eat it. It's too cute.
