And even then, I think the cost of taking photos was so great that I rarely bought film (or batteries for that matter). And fo-get-about developing them! (Do you remember developing a roll of 24 photos--and opening that yellow Kodak envelope only to see that 8 of the 24 were worth keeping? LOL!)
Everyday I blog, I'm still amazed at how easy it is to take a picture and IMMEDIATELY see if it's "good."
I think the digital camera may be one of my Top 10 Favorite Inventions (Behind the dishwasher my parents got Dave and I in 1994--that had its own garbage disposal. That rocked.).
I love it. And so do the kids.
To prove it, here are some of our photos from this week:

In other news:
I came across a recipe for an Indian dish (Aloo Gobi = Aloo means potato; Gobi means cauliflower) that was featured in the movie, "Bend it Like Beckham."
I was dying to make it when I saw the movie three years ago, so I was really excited when I found the exact recipe on RecipeZaar this past week.
It's a curry dish with potatoes and cauliflower (thus the name). And I had to actually go to an Indian Spice shop in order to get the right ingredients. It was the coolest. How can I know so little about India? I felt like I was a tourist just searching the shelves of this store. (And the owner was so nice, when I paid he said, "our phone number is on the receipt if you need help with the recipe." Could ya? The Harmon's checker NEVER tells me that.)
Here's a link to the recipe, if you are daring: http://www.recipezaar.com/84324
