Happy belated Bday Tyffenye! Paco is so cute! Sorry we didn't post this yesterday. Sheesh! We love you to the moon and back!
(First of all, I snaked a song from Juany's blogtrack for today's blog posting. I am not a huge country fan, but Paigey and I heard this song yesterday and couldn't get it out of our heads. Love it. "Love the shoes. Love the purse. Love everything." Name that movie, please.)
Well, Jonah made it to Grandma's TN farm safely!
I think it took something like 50 collective travel hours for this trip to happen. (Dave and J drove to NV. J flew to DC. Rory drove to DC to get J. J and Rory hit a few historic sites AND went fishing. Then, Rory and J drove to TN.) We really appreciate Grandpa and Grandma going to such trouble to host J. It's definitely the highlight of his summer (though I'm not sure he'd be into a roadtrip anytime soon).
Here at the Daybreak farm (we do have like 70 sq. ft. of garden, yanno), the school year officially began. Paigey started Kindergarten. Kaya 4/5 combo. And Camry in 6th grade. Lucky-Dog Jonah gets to begin 2 weeks late because he's on vacay (8th grade).
Even though we don't take the traditional school approach, I have to say the first day was still exciting. New pencils, erasers, paper. Binders. Books. A preview of all that's to come. And a review of all we've forgotten this past summer (ugh).
Hope you Californians are enjoying your final days of summer! School starts so "late" there!
