Dave and Jonah woke up yesterday at 5am to head out for a week at Scout Camp. A full week!
I don't think it hit me until they were gone for about an hour, but it's just the girls and I this whole week. I feel a little like Kevin in Home Alone when he wakes up to find that his parents have left for Paris without him: at first he's afraid, but then he realizes "this could be fun"--and he quickly runs to his parents' room and starts jumping on the bed (watching "Filthy Angels" on the VCR and eating his favorite food, cheese pizza).
I think it's safe to say that we've hit the "this could be fun stage."
Sure, we miss Dave and J, but I know they'd want us to make the best of this time. LOL!
And, so we are "trying."
Yesterday we had ice cream TWICE. We went to the new pool opening at Daybreak. AND, we picked up the gigantic community-purchased waterslide.
Love you Dave and J. Be safe. We'll be waiting for you on the lounge chairs at the pool. (Hope you earn a bazillion merit badges.)
