There's a show on MTV called, "Rob & Big." (Yes, it's a reality show.) Rob is a pro skateboarder; Big is his bodyguard and best friend.
On this one episode (I swear, the only one I've seen), they are heading into a drive-thru carwash when an Enrique Iglesias song comes on: "Do You Know." Rob turns to Big and starts saying, "Do you?" "Do you?" And then they launch into this seriously funny karaoke version of the song.
I'll never go through a carwash without doing karaoke again. Makes it worth the $8.00 you pay for hard water spots on your car.
Thank You!!!!
I think bdays should always be on Sundays because most people don't work--so you get a ton of visits and calls. And since we're Mormon, the fun actually started for me on Saturday (we don't like to spend moola on Sundays)--when Angie (with a g) and Whittney (two tts) surprised me and took me to Ihop and to get a pedicure! Is that too much? Yes, it is.
I love you guys.
PSS: You know, when I was a kid, I used to have these huge expectations about my bday (Did my mom and dad get Shawn Cassidy to come to my party? LOL!). It's funny how once you kind of let that go (get it, kinda), your bdays are THE BEST EVER!
The coolest bday gift ever! An ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins
(Our friends--Mark and Claudia--brought this by Sat. night. I'm totally doing this for someone, too. I loved it! Thank you!)
Another friend MADE (yes, made) this birthday bouquet. It's little cupcakes that are like 2.7 million calories each. I don't have these kind of presentation skills. In fact, sometimes my gifts are in tin foil. Not Mary (said "friend")! Mary had the cupcakes on skewers, put in styrofoam, in cups that were ORANGE on the inside, inside a bowl that was ORANGE on the inside. Yum-O! Thank you Mary. I love you.
(BTW: She quickly sent us to the website for this creation: http://www.bakerella.blogspot.com/)
