At any rate, yesterday my friend Mary came by to visit and say hi before she has her BABY today, and she said, "it's been a rough couple of days, no?" I was thinking, I must be a huge complainer because I don't even remember complaining to Mary about all of the stress this week. LOL!
Turns out, Mary meant that she'd read about the UPS-Ozzy and Jonah-Nose days on the blog. Phew! I'm not losing my mind and complaining to one person! No, I'm just losing my mind and complaining to the millions on the Internet. (LOL!)
It made me think, I hope other people don't think I'm getting ready to call Dr. Phil. There really are lots of happy things going on. Promise.
Here are this week's
Top Fourteen Things That Made Me Smile
Amidst (or Amongst?) the Stress of this Week:
14. Finding the song Low Rider to post on the blog. (If I had a carne asada taco, too, I'd be smiling more!)
13. Mary having her baby girl today!
12. Waking up to NO SNOW today/Friday.
11. Brooke White surviving another week on AI.
10. Camry getting to spend her Birthday money (see photos below).
9. Our AWESOME neighbors staying in Daybreak (the home they are in sold, so they had to find another one pronto!).
8. Jonah not waking up with black eyes the morning after his nose bonk.
7. Camry finishing a chapter book all on her own in ONE DAY!
6. Being nearly done with my Winter semester grading.
5. Getting ready for Navajo Taco Sunday on our street--fry bread, taco toppings, and fun neighbors--yay!
4. The following XM Satellite's channels: 73 (Frank Sinatra-ish), 33 (Gospel), 130 (Presidential race coverage), and 94 (Spanish!).
3. Loving the book I'm reading: A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose.
2. Finding another tablecloth like the one we gave to the dry cleaners.
(I say gave because the drycleaner offered to clean it for $50.00--but we didn't know that until AFTER it was cleaned. The tablecloth was $7.00 originally. As a result, I opted to donate it to the dry cleaners. *Note: Those of you that have a moral dilemna with this, I know, I do, too. Who charges $50.00 to clean a tablecloth? What are they thinking? LOL! I know, you were probably questioning my whole, request a service and then deny payment. Sorry, it's the human part of my being that won out here.)
1. Hearing Dave reply to yesterday's knock on the door with the following, "No, that's not our dog. Sure, we'll take it and find its owner."
(Mary, your son has officially lost his mind! The kids and I are the ones that run the pet-sitting business, not Dave! What is this world coming to? I think the funniest part of this whole story is that this random neighbor brought the dog to OUR house because he thought it was ours. You know you have a lot of pets when people who don't know you KNOW you have a lot of pets. See Harriet below.)
