I think we hid a little over 1000 eggs (not kidding--100 kids x 10 eggs each) in about an hour's time.
We began the hunt at just after 8pm. Our neighborhood all helped stuff, collect, and hide the eggs. A few supermoms also stuffed the "Honkin Golden Eggs" with toys, $5.00 gift cards, jumpropes, silly putty, beanie babies.
We also hid about 35 golden eggs with change in them.
Oh, and our awesome police-office neighbor helped us out a TON by lending us his patrol car PA system--so we could announce the "rules" to everyone on the street (I think that's the hardest part: keeping the hunt from starting early).
The coolest part of this hunt is the flashlight part. It makes it hard to take photos, but it looks so cool when you see a hundred flashlights out on a parkside.
Happy Easter everyone. Miss you family!
